Era

Era places an argument position in the period when it actually took its modern shape. Wikipedia notes "the tradition of modern utilitarianism began with Jeremy Bentham, and continued with such philosophers as John Stuart Mill, Henry Sidgwick, R. M. Hare, and Peter Singer," even though its "seeds" reach back to ancient hedonists. Browsing by era sets a position alongside the debates that were live during the same period.
