Aaron ben Joseph of Constantinople, who lived from about 1260 to about 1320, was an eminent teacher, philosopher, physician and liturgical poet active in Constantinople, then the capital of the Byzantine Empire. He is not to be confused with his near contemporary Aaron ben Elijah, whose Karaite Jewish scholarship covered similar ground a generation later.
