Sextus Empiricus, who flourished in the mid to late second century CE, was a Greek Pyrrhonist philosopher and Empiric school physician holding Roman citizenship, whose philosophical works are the most complete surviving account of ancient Greek and Roman Pyrrhonism and, through the arguments they contain against other Hellenistic philosophies, also a major source of information about those rival schools.
