John M. Dillon

John Myles Dillon is an Irish classicist and philosopher who served as Regius Professor of Greek at Trinity College Dublin from 1980 to 2006, having previously taught at the University of California, Berkeley. His research centers on the history of Platonism, from the Old Academy through the Renaissance, as well as on Early Christianity. He was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Athens in 2010 and of the British Academy in 2022.
