Contemporary Continental Philosophy

Twentieth and twenty first century philosophers working in the continental tradition on being, existence and the structures of thought, from phenomenology and fundamental ontology through French existentialism, structuralism and post-structuralism, to process philosophy's continental-facing readings, the Frankfurt-adjacent and Heideggerian strands of contemporary metaphysics, the Kyoto School's synthesis of Buddhist and phenomenological thought, and Islamic philosophers of the twentieth century who read their own tradition through a Heideggerian lens. Also gathers later scholars, translators and commentators across Europe, Latin America and Asia whose own scholarly work carries German Idealist and continental metaphysics into contemporary debate.
