Thomas Kjeller Johansen, born in 1965, is a Danish-Norwegian philosopher and professor of philosophy at the University of Oslo, where he has taught since 2016 after earlier posts at Oxford, Edinburgh, and Bristol. He earned his PhD from Cambridge under M. F. Burnyeat and specializes in ancient Greek philosophy, particularly Plato's cosmology and Aristotle's theory of the soul. His books include Plato's Natural Philosophy: A Study of the Timaeus-Critias and The Powers of Aristotle's Soul, and he co-edits the journal Phronesis.
