Kim Dinh

Kim Dinh, also known as Luong Kim Dinh or Dominic Luong Kim Dinh, lived from 1914 to 1997 and was a Vietnamese Catholic priest, scholar and philosopher. Ordained in 1943 and educated afterward in Paris, he returned to Vietnam in 1957 to teach philosophy at Saigon University, Van Hanh University and Dalat University, and went on to establish two philosophical frameworks of his own, An Vi, or Tranquility Philosophy, and Authentic Vietnamese Confucianism, known as Viet Nho. His scholarly output exceeded thirty books examining Vietnamese cultural heritage through these frameworks, and he died in Carthage, Missouri.
