Mohammed Chaouki Zine

Mohammed Chaouki Zine, born May 13, 1972 in Oran, Algeria, is an Algerian philosopher and writer. He has focused for many years on contemporary Western philosophy, as shown in his book Hermeneutics and Deconstructions, which discusses thinkers including Michel Foucault, Jacques Derrida, Michel de Certeau, Hans-Georg Gadamer, Richard Rorty and Jean Baudrillard. He holds a doctorate on Arabic and Iberian studies concerning the mystic and Andalusian philosopher Ibn Arabi, and he is discussed in Hubert Mono Ndjana's History of African Philosophy.
