Kelli D. Potter

Kelli D. Potter is an American philosopher and associate professor of philosophy at Utah Valley University, whose areas of expertise include the philosophy of religion, Mormon studies, the philosophy of gender, and the philosophy of logic. She was a founding board member of the Society for Mormon Philosophy and Theology and founding editor of its journal Element, and has served on the editorial board of Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought. As a trans woman, she has written on injustices and theology affecting the transgender community within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and her work on religious disagreement argues that the existence of heterodoxy within every major religious tradition implies that religious belief itself does not carry one definite cognitive content.
