Wendy L. Brown, born in 1955, is an American political theorist working in continental philosophy, critical theory and post-structuralism. She holds the UPS Foundation Professorship in the School of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, after a long career at the University of California, Berkeley, and her work examines democracy, sovereignty, citizenship, gender and neoliberalism.
