Contemporary Analytic Philosophy

Twentieth and twenty first century philosophers working in the analytic tradition on questions of what exists, how objects persist through time and change, and what grounds modal, causal and mereological claims. Gathers the process metaphysics of its founding figure and his later continuators, the ordinary language and descriptive metaphysics associated with mid-century Oxford, and contemporary work on modal realism, free will, trope theory, philosophy of mind, and the history of ancient and early modern metaphysics conducted with analytic method and training, including scholars whose own primary subject is an earlier era's philosophy but whose own scholarly practice is itself contemporary and analytic.
