Contemporary Liberal And Communitarian Thought

Twentieth and twenty first century political philosophers working on liberal theories of justice and their communitarian and legal-philosophical interlocutors, from the major systematic theories of justice as fairness and of entitlement, through value pluralist liberalism, to the communitarian philosophers who argued liberal theory neglects the social and cultural context that makes selfhood and political community possible, alongside contemporary legal and constitutional philosophers, theorists of capability and human development, and political philosophers of nationhood and democratic statesmanship working within this same broadly liberal frame.
