Geoffrey Brennan was an Australian philosopher who held a professorship in philosophy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a professorship in political science at Duke University, and was a faculty member of the Research School of Social Sciences at the Australian National University, serving as its director from 1991 to 1996.
