Noël O'Sullivan

Political Philosophy

Noël O'Sullivan is a British political philosopher who holds the title of Research Professor of Political Philosophy at the University of Hull, where he was given a personal chair in political philosophy in 1992. He has written on conservatism, arguing that the English conservative tradition lacks a single unifying idea beyond scepticism and pragmatism, and on fascism, which he analyzed as an extreme example of an activist style of modern politics that subordinates individuals to an all embracing political ideology.
