A concept is a discrete philosophical idea or technical term tracked as its own entity apart from the philosopher, school or work that introduced or examined it: a form of argument, a distinction, a named thesis. Concepts are deliberately left without a subcategory tree for now because too few are minted across too few branches to support real groupings without manufacturing near-empty categories; the convention is revisited once the type holds meaningfully more entries. This category excludes an argument or position advanced for or against a thesis, which is tracked separately under Arguments and Positions.
