George Henry Radcliffe Parkinson (1923-2015), also known as Harry Parkinson, was a British philosopher and historian of philosophy educated at Wadham College, Oxford. He spent his career at the University of Reading, becoming professor in 1974 and head of department from 1983 to 1989, and wrote principally on Leibniz and Spinoza, with further work on Marx, Lukacs and metaphysics.
