Isabelle Stengers is a Belgian philosopher noted for her work in the philosophy of science. Trained as a chemist, she has collaborated with the Russian Belgian chemist Ilya Prigogine and the French philosopher and sociologist Bruno Latour, among others, and has written widely on the history of science as well as on philosophers such as Gilles Deleuze, Alfred North Whitehead, Donna Haraway, and Michel Serres.
