Mary Leng is a British philosopher specializing in the philosophy of mathematics and the philosophy of science, and a professor at the University of York since 2012. Her book Mathematics and Reality (2010) defends mathematical fictionalism, the view that mathematical statements need not be literally true of abstract objects to be useful.
