Mohamed Hamouda Bensai (1902 to 1998) was an Algerian philosopher and essayist who studied philosophy at the Sorbonne and became one of the leading Algerian thinkers from the 1930s onward. He chaired the circle of the Association of Franco-North Africa, and the main public library of his hometown of Batna is named in his honor.
