Peter Menzies (1953 to 2015) was an Australian philosopher who held teaching positions at Macquarie University, the University of Sydney and the Australian National University, and served as president of the Australasian Association of Philosophy. He specialized in metaphysics, particularly the philosophy of causation, and with Huw Price developed a version of the agency theory of causation within the manipulability tradition. He was made a fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities in 2007.
