Simon Hailwood is a British philosopher and Professor of Philosophy at the University of Liverpool, where he has worked since joining as a lecturer in 2004. His research concerns moral philosophy, political philosophy, environmental philosophy, environmental ethics, political realism and pragmatism, and his books include How to be a Green Liberal and Alienation and Nature in Environmental Philosophy.
