Relation Types

A relation type is one of the closed set of named connections the atlas draws between entities: the vocabulary an edge is written in, such as In Branch, Influenced, or the cross-atlas seam relations same-as, is-discussed-by, originated-in and influenced. This category is structural rather than a subject index; a reader encounters its members as the labels on connective edges between entity pages rather than as pages of their own. It excludes any relationship recorded only as a free-text property rather than as a formal typed edge.
