Connects a philosopher to the philosophical tradition, school of thought or intellectual movement under which that philosopher is classified as a whole. The inverse reading, Tradition Of, names the same relationship from the tradition toward each philosopher grouped under it. A compound tradition label such as Marxism and critical theory is linked to each of the named traditions rather than to one of them alone.
